Description

SESAME SEARED ASPARAGUS – delicious vegetable recipe to serve as a side or an appetizer

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1015 green asparagus, bottom trimmed
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh grated ginger
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • herbs to decor such as mint and basil
  • tomatoes and sesame seeds to top

Instructions

  1. Mix sesame oil, avocado oil, ginger and seasoning in a bowl.
  2. Heat a sautee pan and add half of the mixed oil.
  3. When the oil is grizzling, add the asparagus and make sure they all touch the bottom of the pan. You might need to make this process twice.
  4. Cover and let sit for 3-4 minutes to have your asparagus slightly tender but still very crunchy. Add two minutes if you like them more well done.
  5. Serve warm or at room temperature. Decorate with herbs and fresh tomatoes.
