“French Women Don’t Get Fat”
Hi there! Welcome on my happy place! I am Kelly, French foodie obsessed with avocado and chocolate! I am also a healthy lifestyle enthusiast and I decided to combine healthy and epicurism without sacrifice.
Mostly plant-based (but sometimes you’ll see eggs, some dairy and fish in my recipes), French and kosher style, the food on my blog is tasty and flavorful but natural and fresh. All homemade and made from scratch! Free of GMO, processed food or refined sugar, it’s the way to-go!
My amazing journey with My Organic Diary started in January 2015 but my first electroshock was in 2013, after 10 month in NYC. I had gained 15 lbs (the freshman fifteen I guess!). I couldn’t believe it! I had always been pretty thin without too many efforts thanks to a good metabolism but at this time I wasn’t fitting in my jeans anymore!
I started reading about everything related to food and I learned. I learned than we are basically eating poison when eating anything processed. I learned that corn syrup or anything that contains “fructose” has to be banned without any tolerance! I basically learned everything online and with all those nutritions books written by amazing food expert all over the world.
2 months after stopping processed food and diet drinks, I had lost all those annoying pounds and even more! I was feeling better, was sleeping better. I swore to myself from this day to always keep my body as healthy as I could.
I started having more people over and creating new recipes inspired by other who took the healthy lifestyle lead before me! I created My Organic Diary to show people that you can have a very fun, active and delicious life even with diet restrictions!
Focusing on eating tasty but healthy, My Organic Diary gives creative and innovative ideas to those who want to try them-selves at cooking or just for a visual treat. It’s all about keeping a healthy lifestyle and be happy!
Today, I am technically plant-based. My diet is 90% vegan but when it’s not, I eat only fish and eggs, no shellfish, no meat and very little cheese sometimes like goat cheese but no milk. My week day meals are made with nuts, beans, seeds, vegetables and greens. My husband technically eats meat and cheese but he is becoming also pescatarian/vegan without knowing it! 🙂
Kosher and organic, all the recipes are invented for a simple reason: palate satisfaction!
Growing up in Paris surrounded by food with parents in the catering industry, I was always interested in tasting new flavors. I moved to New York City in 2012 and studied advertising. After graduating, I worked a few years in a big publishing company. Today, I am so happy and grateful to be devoted to my passion. I currently live in Montreal, Canada with my husband after spending 5 amazing years in NYC.
In fall 2018, I went back to school and I am currently pursuing studies in dietetics. I am so grateful to have this opportunity to go back to school and be able to follow my true calling. I can’t wait to help more people and discover new tools to achieve happy eating and lifestyle.
As a Food Revolution ambassador and Holistic Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, I promote this new lifestyle during my cooking classes. Contact me!
