The new year is approaching very fast and and it’s time for some annual self-reflection, introspection and resolutions on how to be a better version of ourselves in 2017.
The approach
It’s not about what we did wrong or how we failed but how to improve our life and be happier.
If you are already super happy and healthy, that’s truly awesome and I hope you are… but there are always things we can improve and ways to make people happier around us! For example you can try to workout more, or eat more homemade food; spend more time with your family and significant other; educate yourself on new subjects and find time for more readings; be more focused in your job or achieve big projects…
As a future holistic health coach, I now have a greater appreciation for the importance of being happy and healthy in the different domains of your life.
This exercise is very simple and only requires a small amount of your time to be successful! Just fill-in the blanks with your thoughts. When your achievements and your goals will be more defined in your head (and on paper), it will be easier for you to succeed and to have a fulfilled year. It’s also very important not to be too hard on yourself. There is no real point of doing that. You need to take a step back and a deep breathe to try to be honest. This can be a fun exercise to do with someone very close to you.
How it works

What are your achievements for 2016? What are you grateful for?
List at least 5 of them. They can be big wins or even small ones! List things that made you proud of yourself this year.
For example, I am very proud of all my hard work on my website. It has been very overwhelming but I am happy with the result.
What are your disappointments for 2016?
List maximum 5. Don’t be too hard on yourself and list the ones that are objectively the most important to you.
For example, I haven’t been very good at cooking for myself and fighting my sugar cravings.
What are your personal goals for 2017?
List between 5 and 10 personal goals. They can be about your health, your job, your hobbies… Specify how you will go about accomplishing each goal.
For example, one of my goals is to meditate everyday. I’ll accomplish this goal if I wake up earlier and meditate first thing in the morning before jumping in the craziness of my day.
What are your relationship goals for 2017?
List as many as you want. They should be about your behavior and interactions with others. Again, be specific as to how you will go about accomplishing each goal.
For example, I would like to do a better job keeping in touch with family and friend overseas. In order to accomplish this goal, I need get better organized and start scheduling more phone calls and Facetime calls.
Completing this exercice is in itself a big step in the right direction: being happier and healthier is to know where you can improve yourself. You can print or save your notes and refer to them at least once a month to see how you are improving on your goals.
Happy new year <3

With havin so much content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright infringement? My blog has a lot of unique content I’ve either authored myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my authorization. Do you know any ways to help protect against content from being stolen? I’d certainly appreciate it.
